Courthouse Renovations Underway, Impacting Local Streets
As part of the Courthouse renovations, several local streets and sidewalks are impacted.
As of Oct. 1, 2025:
-
Jefferson St. is now open, one way south, with angled parking and sidewalks on both sides
-
Main St. is open to two-way traffic
-
Washington Street is one-way east, with parking and sidewalks available only on the south side
-
Morgan Street is open to westbound and eastbound traffic, with parking and sidewalks only available on the north side
The contractors expect to open all streets before Small Business Saturday during Thanksgiving Weekend, allowing two-way traffic flow and parking on Morgan, Main and Washington streets.
Thank you for your support of downtown Martinsville and the ongoing improvements being made. Stay tuned for updates as the project progresses.
