The Morgan County Advisory Plan Commission consists of 9 members who are responsible for reviewing, approving, and/or making recommendations regarding petitions for subdivision, development, and rezoning within the unincorporated areas of the County. They are also responsible for preparing the County’s comprehensive plan and its zoning and subdivision control ordinances. The Plan Commission routinely meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm.

The Plan Commission Rules of Procedure Article III 4 (b) states: “No person, firm, corporation, public employee, or elected official shall contact any member of the Plan Commission, either orally or in writing, in advance of a public hearing on a petition in an effort to influence the vote of Plan Commission members.”
