ACTIVE CLOSURES

  • Leonard Road Small Structure 1251 Replacement – Emergency closure in January of 2024.  Project is beginning design phase and construction anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 (detour sheet attached)

State Road Closures

*note: This is not a comprehensive list of State Road projects. This is a select list of State projects that we have been notified of. For questions regarding State Road projects, please contact the Indiana Department of Transportation

ACTIVE CLOSURES

  • State Road 42 - structural overlay with culvert replacements located west of Monrovia – complete closure beginning April 9 and will open up in late fall. The new hard closure will be 3/10ths of a mile West of Lake Ditch Road, which is in between Lake Ditch and Hall Road. (additional information) 
  • State Road 44 - Bridge Rehabilitation on SR 44 over Lost Creek – complete closure beginning April 22 and will last 90 days, pending weather. Until September 30, 2024 at about 7:00PM EDT. (additional information)
  • State Road 144 over White River - Beginning tentatively May 6th, traffic will be restricted to one lane with a width of 14'3". Restrictions will be in place for 180 days. Until October 21, 2024.
  • State Road 67 Near Centerton - On/After Monday, July 15, crews will begin bridge rehabilitation work on southbound State Road 67 approximately half a mile southwest of Centerton to complete a small structure replacement project in Morgan County. Work is expected to be complete by late November, weather permitting. Motorists should expect lane shifts as well as lane closures while work is in progress.  (additional information)
  • Pumpkinvine Hill Rd - Delayed to 9/12 - Indiana Dept of Transportation Force Construction Company is scheduled to close Pumpkinvine Hill Road at State Road 67 on or after September 12, to complete a small structure replacement project in Morgan County. The closure will take place approximately one mile west of Martinsville and is expected to take up to 10 days, weather permitting. Crews will begin to place signage in the area prior to the start of construction. This project is part of a $8 million contract awarded to Force Construction in May 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.   • State Road 39 - Starting September 23, 2024 at 6:00AM until December 6, 2024 at about 5:00PM, the bridge will be closed on IN 39 in both directions between IN 67 and IN 142 (4 miles south of the Monrovia area). (additional information) (INDOT map)
